🎭 2025 Youth Theater Camp

A hands-on theater camp where every student paints, builds, creates, and performs! Designed for young artists ready to dive in to every aspect of theater production.

This summer, WV Collective invites young creatives ages 6-12 to take part in a unique, hands-on theater experience. Over two weeks, campers will explore every step of the production process — learning stage and set terminology, building props, painting set pieces, designing costumes, and preparing for a live performance.

Led by veteran educator and theater professional Linda Jayne Boyd, the camp will culminate in a student-created showcase on Saturday, June 28, celebrating the hard work and imagination of each participant.

3 SHORT STORIES

Jamie and Cathy love each other, but love is hard.

WV Collective is excited to present “The Last Five Years,” an emotional and intimate musical by Jason Robert Brown.

Its compelling narrative unfolds over a five-year forensic examination of the relationship of Jamie Wellerstein, a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt, a struggling actress. Jamie and Cathy love each other, but love is hard. The unique structure of the musical showcases Jamie’s story in chronological order and Cathy’s in reverse, with their timelines intersecting only once. Directed by Adam Taylor, this production promises to bring a fresh and intimate perspective to the stage. Join us at the cozy Beckley Women’s Club for an impactful theater experience that captures the realities of modern relationships. It will resonate with you, whether you want it to or not.
