Winner of the Tony Award for Best Book and Best Musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a laugh-filled Broadway comedy about an eclectic group of mid-pubescents competing for spelling glory and self-discovery.

*** THIS IS NOT A YOUTH THEATER PRODUCTION! While the story centers on middle school students, this production will cast high-school age / adult performers to portray all roles. ***

The Cast

The Spellers:

• Chip Tolentino — Confident and charming, the reigning bee champion with a touch of cockiness. (High baritone/tenor)
• Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre — Ambitious, witty, and passionate; often overthinks things. (Mezzo)
• Leaf Coneybear — Endearingly oblivious and unique; comedic rhythm is key. (Baritone)
• Marcy Park — Smart, poised, and outwardly composed yet competitive. (Soprano/mezzo)
• Olive Ostrovsky — Sweet with quiet strength; capable of emotional depth. (Soprano)
• William Barfée — Unconventional and heartfelt; funny with impeccable comedic timing. (High baritone)

Adults/Supporting:

• Rona Lisa Peretti — The warm yet firm moderator of the spelling bee.
• Vice Principal Douglas Panch — Quirky, officious, and eccentric pronouncer.
• Mitch Mahoney — The comfort counselor with a gruff exterior and sweet heart.
