WV Collective Youth Theater Workshop
WV Collective’s production of “The Stinky Cheese Man” is more than just an entertaining performance, but also a hands on introduction to Theater Arts for the next generation of talent in the Mountain State. Participants, ages 10-18, will audition for a spot in our inaugural year, where they will learn not only on-stage skill, but all technical aspects of a theater production; from lighting, to set design, to backstage crew, this production will instill the value of teamwork to create something bigger, and spark an interest in a whole new world of creation.
When Is The Audition?
Auditions will be held at Beckley Elementary on Saturday June 10th, 2023 from 11am until 1pm.
Who Can Audition?
All students who wish to participate must be between the ages of 10-18.
What Will I Need For The Audition?
Everyone who wishes to audition will be asked to read from a script we will provide. We may ask you to read multiple characters to find which role works best for you.
In addition to reading dialogue, anyone interested in helping with music must prepare a song. Any song that shows your vocal range will work, and we can provide a speaker to play background tracks.
Does It Cost Money To Participate?
There is no sign up fee or cost to audition for the program.
We’ve calculated the cost for each student at $200 each. We’re asking sponsors to cover the cost for each participant. If you would like to sponsor a student use the links below to help us develop the next generation of creators in Southern WV!

When/Where Is The Performance?
The show will open at The Raleigh Playhouse & Theatre in Beckley WV on Friday September 8 at 6pm, with 2 more showings on Saturday September 9, 2023. The show will coincide with The City Of Beckley’s ‘Kids Classic Festival’.
