About The Show
WV Collective’s production of “The Stinky Cheese Man” is more than just an entertaining performance, but also a hands on introduction to Theater Arts for the next generation of talent in the Mountain State. Participants, ages 10-18 will learn not only on-stage skill, but all technical aspects of a theater production; from lighting, to set design, to backstage crew, this production will instill the value of teamwork to create something bigger, and spark an interest in a whole new world of creation.
The Story
Though the characters may be familiar, each of your favorite storybook fables is uproariously derailed in this adaptation of Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith's quintessential children's book of fractured fairy tales. Everything from "Chicken Little" to "The Gingerbread Man" gets a complete makeover. Fun music and witty narration accompany the likes of ineloquent giants, sassy barnyard animals, colossal cow pies, and enough stinky cheese to go around.
